Luke Portanier is an ex English and British K1 Champion.
Luke started training in 1996 under Kru Simon Wells, one of the most respected coaches in the UK. Training under Simon at Comet Gym, Luke learnt the art of Muay Thai, training alongside Winston Fraiser and Rosie Haywood, two of the best fighters in the UK at the time. Comet Gym then merged with Bad Company in Barnet (Head Coach Will Kelly) and became Diablo Muay Thai.
"I trained under Simon and Will for my whole fight career eventually winning the British title in 2017. I was also one of 5 fighters to be graded and eventually received my KRU from Will & Simon, which is one of my greatest achievements to date".
Since retiring in 2018 Luke has been coaching fighters in both Muay Thai and professional boxing.
Luke is a British Board certified Head Coach and cut/corner man.
